THE mother of a teenager who died after his e-bike collided with an ambulance has paid an emotional tribute to the 'sweetest, kindest boy!
Saul Cookson was rushed to hospital after the bike crashed with the ambulance, which was travelling back to base on Langworthy Road in Salford on Thursday afternoon.
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the 15-year-old sadly died a short time later.
Moments before the horror smash, Mr Cookson had been involved in a police pursuit. Traffic cops had followed the teen along Fitzwarren Street and Lower Seedley Road at around 2pm, until bollards prevented the chase from proceeding further, GMP said.
