This came as news Sheikh Jassim had withdrawn his offer to buy the club outright last week.
United co-chairman Joel Glazer has not attended a game at Old Trafford since April 2019 and has barely communicated with supporters during his family's 18-and-a-half-year ownership of the club.
His brother, Avram Glazer, was present for the opening game of last season against Brighton, as well as the League Cup and FA Cup finals at Wembley.
