Construction of AMARAVATI resumes

The Andhra Pradesh Government gave the go ahead for the construction of Amaravati capital city. Tweeting on a social media platform X, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the restart of the project, expressing his gratitude to the people of the state, particularly the farmers, who stood steadfast in their support for the capital city. Naidu acknowledged the challenges faced by the people during the past five years and emphasized the government's commitment to rebuilding Amaravati.

The seven-storeyed building, originally started in 2017, was halted during the previous government. The current government has now approved the allocation of Rs. 160 crore to complete the remaining construction, including architectural finishes, interiors, and mechanical systems. This seven-story building, spanning 3.62 acres with a built-up area of 2,42,481 square feet, is expected to be completed within four months.
