The Bombay High Court has quashed a show notice issued by the State Minorities Commission against HDFC Bank officials on a complaint by a trustee of Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust alleging harassment and mental torture that resulted in the death of his father and the hospital's founder, Kishor Mehta.
The court noted that just because the trustee, Rajesh Mehta, belonged to the Jain minority community, he cannot knock on the doors of the commission and get orders passed.
