CHRIS Dawson’s Plymouth-headquartered retail chain The Range has made a £11.7 million loss, after seeing a huge drop in sales.
The company was also stuck with too much stock and saw customers’ spending squeezed by the cost-of-living crisis. Newly published accounts for the year to the end of January 2023, reveal CDS (Superstores International) Ltd, which trades as The Range, made a total loss of £11,725,000 compared to a profit of £81,521,000 in the previous year. The holding company, Norton Group Holdings Ltd, made a loss of £4,296,000 compared to a profit of £94,116,000 in 2022.
