THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex are being protected by a fastdeploying bulletproof shield as they tour Colombia.
Recent figures show the South American country has the fourth highest murder rate in the world.
As a result, the couple are travelling with a guard who carries a "ballistic briefcase" to stop them being targeted by gunmen.
Security experts describe the shield as "a discreet close protection and rapid-deployment safety device".
