COASTAL erosion, sped up by the climate change, is exposing old landfill sites that experts call "ticking time bombs".

There are 1,200 to 1,400 old dumps around the coast and their decades of rubbish could end up in the sea.

At Lyme Regis in Dorset, a Victorian dump that shut in the 1970s is discharging its contents, including toxic chemicals, into the water.
