The paceman (left) was unable to bowl yesterday as England wrapped up victory in the First Test in Manchester.

He is unlikely to play in the second Test match of the series at Lord’s, which starts on Thursday. And, with the 34-year-old’s troubled history of problems in that area, England may be loathed to risk him in the final contest at The Oval the following week.
