DAN COLE got the thumbs-up from his missus after the World Cup to keep rumbling on in the current Six Nations and not put a full-stop on his England career.
The Leicester prop, 37 in May, is set to win his 110th cap against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday after wedding florist. Isobel gave him the green light to carry on in Tests.
It was thought Cole would follow pal Ben Youngs, Courtney Lawes and Jonny May into international retirement after France 2023, but he is ploughing on. He has time to make up after being cold-shouldered by Eddie Jones after the 2019 World Cup Final until Steve Borthwick's recall for the 2023 Six Nations.
And Cole (left) revealed he has not put a date on his retirement after missing that massive chunk of his England career - thanks to his better half giving him the nod.
