<p id="2">Searches were conducted at educational institutions owned by Reddy and his family members at various locations and their residence at Palm Meadows in Kompally. I-T investigation wing sleuths also searched the residences and offices of the minister&rsquo;s sons, Mahendra Reddy, Bhadra Reddy and son-in-law M Rajasehkar Reddy.</p>
<p id="3">Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke to Malla Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, both under the scanner of Central agencies and assured them of legal backup. &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t get jittery about the raids, which are part of BJP&rsquo;s vindictive politics. We had predicted this long ago. The Centre is trying to terrorise us with CBI, ED and I-T raids. We will definitely counter this and take legal recourse,&rdquo; he reportedly told them.</p>

His wife Ch Kalapana Reddy is the vice-president of CMR Educational Society, Malla Reddy Educational Society, Chandramma Educational Society and St Martin&rsquo;s Educational Society. She is also the president of Ch Malla Reddy Educational Society and MGR Educational Society.</p>

<p id="1">I-T sleuths were looking in-to real estate purchases of Malla Reddy and his family in three years. They were verifying fee records and cash payments in engineering, medical, other colleges.</p>
<p id="2">Reddy owns Malla Reddy University, several colleges. He reportedly made investments in malls, petrol pumps and amassed land in several places. At certain locations, they allegedly seized &ldquo;unaccounted cash&rdquo;.</p>
