Hyderabad: Yet another lake in Hyderabad is on the verge of going under. Kamuni Cheruvu in Moosapet is in the grip of land sharks and encroachers who are busy filling up the lake in the night, building up temporary rooms and selling them off, and smiling away to riches.
A close analysis of Google maps with the old survey maps of Hyderabad has revealed that not only the full tank level but also one-quarter of the lake and nalas leading in and out of it have been encroached. In the last few days, officials have identified several encroachments within the lake.
