There's nothing better than exploring a new destination on a city break away; famous landmarks, otherworldly old streets, striking examples of modern architecture and culture — whatever your chosen location, it's likely a paradise for photography.
But amongst all the hustle and hubbub it can seem challenging to produce creative and considered travel images that stand out from the crowd, rather than the same tired old tourist snaps. Thankfully there are some very simple steps that you can take to dramatically improve your chances at photos that will have friends and family booking the next flight out or hopping into cars for that road trip they now suddenly always wanted to do. Here are five steps for achieving success in the city.
