The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT heralds the use of coloured forged carbon.
FORGED MARVEL

Created in Audemars Piguet's R&D workshops using the Chroma Forged Technology (CFT), coloured forged carbon is an innovative deep black material offers a new aesthetic with subtle touches of colour. That's what makes the new Audemars Piguet 43mm Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT special.

Highlighted by a black ceramic bezel, crown, push-pieces and caseback, the non-porous CFT carbon further provides resistance to humidity, heat and shocks, while being super light in weight.

Unlike previous generations of carbon, Audemars Piguet's Chroma Forged Technology (CFT) makes it possible to colour the carbon fibres directly instead of the resin and arrange them as desired in the component produced. The manufacturing process involves numerous steps and great expertise, requiring the carbon fibres to be cut first into small pieces and then coloured with pigments.
