It was a cagey affair with both sides failing to create many chances before the half-time interval.

The Daggers’ had some great goalscoring opportunities after the break and eventually got their reward through Morias’ winner.

Daggers’ boss Ben Strevens said: “It wasn’t the most entertaining game for anyone to watch, but it was a real tactical game.

“It was like a ‘chess game’ and Rochdale tried to draw us to do different things so we has to be disciplined.

“We had to tweak the formation to suit the players we had available and nullify them for long parts, but the boys executed the information we gave to them.
