Fusion Studio 19

Now in its 10th year under the wings of Blackmagic Design, Fusion Studio is stronger than ever.

The software is a node-based VFX and compositing tool now in version 19 beta, and is a big deal among the pros. It’s a package that lets you create incredible effects, combine complex shots, and make stunning motion graphics.

One of the things that sets Fusion Studio apart from the likes of After Effects is its node-based workflow. Don’t let this put you off though; once you’ve got your head around it you’ll be flying high.

Just to be clear, Fusion Studio shouldn’t be confused with the Fusion tools that are found in Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve. The Studio version is a standalone application and like the Resolve version, but on steroids. Any serious VFX and motion graphics professional will want to be using the full Fusion Studio suite.

The most recent update, version 19, is now in beta and comes complete with new rotoscoping tools, an AIbased IntelliTrack tracker, and improved USD functionality. Let’s dive in and see what all the fuss is about.

ROTOSCOPING BUFFS
