In the heart of Bangalore’s concrete jungle, sublime notes of tranquillity seep into the luxurious expanse of The Leela Bhartiya City. Leading a team of creative forces, Editor-in-Chief Sangeetha Kailash strives to create an atmosphere that challenges artistic norms and leaves an abundance of room for innovative experimentation.
“I initially started with a mixed bag of ideas that made way for a more concrete style plan. I had no desire to curate looks around a structured theme for this shoot because I did not want to limit myself. I always believe in working with hardworking creators who push boundaries and have something new to offer to every conversation. It has been a wonderful experience, working with a dynamo like Manvita Kamath and a team of like-minded individuals who endeavour to accomplish what they set out to do,” she elaborates. Assisted by fashion designer and TVARUS founder Sowmya SK, each look is immersed in a world of wonder and mystique.
Donning a classic pantsuit with a refreshing abstract print by Aparna S Studio, Manvita brings the heat in a glimmering sequin top to match. A nude-toned approach to makeup by Shruthi Gurikar and minimalist gold jewellery complete the ultimate look of sophistication.
Not one for subtlety, look two is inspired by the charm of old-world glamour, featuring a seafoam green evening gown, an Aparna S Studio exclusive. Dazzling in a killer lowcut neckline; a softly curled chignon, corset detailing, and a play of floral embroidery and sequin embellishments, add to the star's timeless grace.
Bringing it back to an ethnic playground of design, the third look is established against a refined yet woodsy setting.
