BRING A DOSE OF CHEER TO EVERY NOOK, CRANNY, AND SURFACE WITH THESE EASY, FESTIVE DIY DECOR IDEAS.
CHRISTMAS everywhere

FOYER

Deck the walls

Design a yarn tree in your front hallway or on any empty wall. Enlist the kids to help trim it with paper and felt ornaments attached with tape.

DRAWERS

Get jingly with it

To make this nifty knob dangler, you'll need about 100 jingle bells, a six-foot-long piece of craft wire, and a metal floral hoop. Wind one end of the wire around the hoop a few times to secure. Now thread a bell onto the wire and wind it around the hoop once-then repeat, repeat, repeat.

Spruce it up!

Add embellishments like evergreen, an ornament, and ribbon for hanging.

FRONT DOOR

Stamp your welcome mat

On a tightly woven doormat, lightly trace the rim of a wastepaper basket with chalk to create the outside edge of a wreath. Then draw the inside edge using a coffee can. With round craft sponges in two sizes, dab white paint dots within the ring, varying the pressure and paint saturation as you go.

Once it's dry, rub off the chalk.

Go halfsies!

For a modern twist on the classic green wreath, wrap the bottom of an oversize metal craft hoop with lush greenery. faux flowers, and lights, then add just a coordinating bow up top.
