Vinod Sharma, a renowned painter who needs no introduction, has been creating abstract landscapes for over three decades. His landscapes are some of the most refined and elegant in the world of contemporary art. In the words of Geeta Singh, the owner of Gallery Art Pilgrim, "His love for nature and his masterful technique were on full display, as he revealed every element of his works through the dense oil medium, showcasing the magical light, depth, and distance that culminated in a mystical atmosphere. Through his paintings, Vinod speaks a language of effortless creativity, where the elements of earth, water, and even the invisible air are all present, drawing us into his landscapes."
An excerpt from his candid chat with Woman's Era on his recent solo show at Bikaner House, Delhi.
As your journey started almost four decades back, how has your landscape, paintings evolved? Take us through your journey.
Being an avid traveller, the land fascinates me a lot and my depictions of it encompass the visible and the invisible, the told and the untold. I am deeply immersed in what I depict and in this way am not just able to represent natural beauty but to demonstrate my understanding of it.
