TES Orbit Description:
TES Orbit, now a full-blown, news stand quality magazine, started its journey almost two decades ago as a school newsletter. Since then, it has undergone several revisions and upgrades to finally emerge from its chrysalis in its current avatar. The magazine reaches over 16,000 students, their teachers and parents across India, in addition to over 500 educators, dignitaries and school libraries that receive its issues on a regular basis. Envisioned and designed to provide an unparalleled reading experience to the trinity of the teaching-learning community – the students, parents and teachers, its contents covers a galaxy of topics. In addition the mesmerizing pages include theme based cover stories, exclusive sections on visual and performing arts, book reviews, news capsule, articles on great personalities and health, etc. Amongst the highlights, TES Orbit has ‘Trash from Toys’ pioneer Arvind Gupta writing on education and science, SPIC MACAY founder Dr. Kiran Seth sharing insights on culture & heritage, educationist Aamod Karkhanis writing about ‘Mathemagic’, chef Sanjeev Kapoor dishing out culinary secrets, renowned counselor Dr. Sanjay Chugh providing insights on wellness of the mind, career expert Dr. Amrita Dass introducing us to the unending range of vocations, Amar Chitra Katha contributing their exclusive condensed comic digests, seasoned journalist G Rajaraman shedding light on the world of sports, NGO Trinayani doing their bit to break attitudinal barriers towards the disabled, the Art1st Foundation sowing the seeds of arts appreciation in the uninitiated, and exemplary periodicals like Chakmak—Baal Vigyan Patrika, Earth Care Optimized and Digit magnanimously sharing their creative output to reach a wider audience. Each issue is accompanied by a tabloid sized colourful insert ‘Campus Capers’, which features articles contributed by school children making it pleasantly easy and attractive to read. There are a total of 4(four) issues per year. Each issue is themed on a subject of direct relevance to young thinking individuals and provides a good opportunity for the entire school to collaborate and contribute to the magazine.
