Fifty fresh faces, a box full of talent and the future of the country, and these are just a few ways that the iGens in the past have been described. What makes iGen 2021 special is that in spite of the pandemic, and such tough times, these young architects and designers from across the country have managed to make a mark. Be it a fabulous resort in the hills, a school on a really challenging site, a swank office or a high-end bungalow, each of these youngsters, have left no stone unturned to prove the adage, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way!’
And that is the theme of iGen 2021. Dreams, aspirations, and much more are the foundations of a design career. But it is hard work, and the ‘Will to make things work’ that become the stepping stones to one’s success.
Architect and Interiors India takes immense pride in being able to present to you the iGen list of 2021, with 50 under 40 architects and designers who are the shining stars of tomorrow. The selection is based on architects and designers who have shown the determination to create a beautiful future for architecture and design in our country. Ones who have pushed boundaries to achieve the success they have earned at such an early stage of their career. Special care was taken to pick projects that demonstrated an environmentally sensitive approach to design, and a design philosophy that focused on creating an experience rather than a materialistic space.
We studied the thought process of the designers and gave them points for open-minded design approach, use of environment friendly material and understanding of concept to be able to translate the same into reality.
PROCESS OF SELECTION:
Finding these gems was no mean task, but as a publication house, we left no stone unturned to reach out to architects and designers from across the country and invited entries through an online process for iGen 2021.
