A continuous dialogue with exterior is the driving force of the design...

The project is a ‘haute couture’ fashion house. Its setting in a corner property ensured the best vantage point, which was leveraged in design by combining varying volumes and skylights to enhance the visibility of the flamboyant display. An existing bottle brush tree weaves its way into the three levels creating a natural backdrop for the decor.

A continuous dialogue with exterior is the driving force of the design highlighted through the spatial organisation and the use of materials.

The boutique spreads over three floors. Based on the clients’ brief and requirements, the lower level is designed as a display gallery of Indian ethnic wear. The gallery opens out into a breakout, semi-covered area that is used for customer interactions. A light staircase in steel and wood spans across the length of the store creating a window display area on the façade and partially screens the store interiors.
