The architecture of W Dubai – the Palm Vies for attention with the well-designed quintet of f&b offerings in the hotel.
Contemporary Palate

The crescent-shaped luxury hub that is The Palm in Dubai is now home to a remarkable hotel: The W Dubai – The Palm.

Featuring a distinctive architecture and carefully planned interiors, the hotel, which sits on the Persian Gulf, raises the bar when it comes to luxury.

Designed by renowned architectural firm RMJM, with interiors by dwp, the hotel and its 350 rooms and suites are testament to a design flair not often seen in contemporary hotels.

Even the various F&B outlets all have their own sense of style.

REFERENCING DUBAI

The hotel is an escape, designed to allow guests to experience something remarkable. Sitting between the city and the sea, it creates something of an oasis.

“The [W] hotels take ancient cultural reference points as inspiration and put a modern W twist on them. Take the atrium for example, a fortress used to protect the area.

“W Dubai – The Palm has modernised its atrium with LED lights with ever-changing colors and a stylish fire pit,” says General Manager Anne Scott.

The hotel seeks to marry a modern, contemporary brand with the history of its host city, where local culture is seen through a modern lens.

“W Dubai – The Palm is the first Escape property in the Middle East, setting the stage with jaw-dropping architecture.

“The design within the rooms draws you in with glass-tiled walls and contrasting urban graffiti artwork, which boasts lyrics from famous Lebanese singer, Fairouz.

“All rooms include curved tiled walls to show the light glistening on the water at various times of the day,” says Scott.

Continuity with the brand is achieved through the creation of a “W monument” outside the hotel; LED-lit, it changes colors throughout the evening and the light pattern takes the form of a wadi.
