Designer Krsnaa Mehta Is Known For His Colourful Personality, Brilliantly Reflected In His Apartment.
Pop goes the easel, in his hands. You can see it vividly in the wall art, products and spaces he designs – most recently, his first India Circus store, which was launched last month. But his home, which is an extension of his personality – as all good homes must be, seems to burst with the colour and zest that spells Krsnaa Mehta. It is bold and beautiful, an audacious world where contrasting walls pop with graphic prints and evocative art (many of them by Mehta himself). It’s a happy mash-up, quite typical of the gleeful decorating approach perfected by his ethnic cool brand, India Circus.
Mehta’s love for brilliant colours is evident in how each room is painted in at least two contrasting shades – pink and purple dominate his bedroom, red and blue rule in his living area, and green and maroon in his guest room (which also serves as an entertainment den).
