From Painting To Photography The Eye Catching Work Of Helene DeSerres

Her interdisciplinary ranges from acrylic paintings and sculpture to photography. DeSerres paints in a variety of styles, including abstract, impressionist, and realist, and her work incorporates varied media. She often photographs her subjects, using the photos as reference points for her paintings.

Describing art as her "oxygen," DeSerres cares deeply about the environment and protecting animals. Natural landscapes, majestic creatures, and bold pigments are prominent features of her work.

Aquatic environments and plants are other natural mainstays of DeSerres' works. Most often, these are illustrated in an impressionistic style. In her new abstract series, DeSerres takes a storytelling approach with each stroke using intricate artistry carefully orchestrated compositions of bold colors that come to life with a spontaneous twist, splashing elements that add drama and depth. The result is eye-catching works of simultaneous contrast that invite the viewer to new worlds of imagination.
