You guys have long songs. Typically songs are 3 to 4 minutes; your songs can be as long as 14 minutes. How difficult is that, to write them, play them, and fit them into a set?

It's easy for us to make them, love. The hard thing for us is to shorten them, actually. And that’s something we've gotten better at when recording, making them shorter. But we like to jam, so we're going to stretch them out. That's our thing. We'd play for 30 minutes if we could, but when you're in the studio it's about making it all fit into a shorter song and I guess as you get at your craft you can do that.

Is it hard condensing those jamming sensibilities into shorter songs and what is the process like?
