We have a video of Troy Corser doing a donut on our website, so many of you have commented on this (he was on a 500cc supercharged BMW R57!) so we’re giving you the report of where this originated. The Goodwood Revival 2018.
Two-time World Superbike champion Troy Corser marked the 20th anniversary staging of the Goodwood Revival on September 8-9 by thundering to victory in the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy event – the world’s most prestigious Historic road race, which this year catered for bikes up to 1,000cc built before 1954. He did so together with Austrian teammate Herbert Schwab aboard a supercharged 1929 500cc BMW R57 Kompressor entered by the German manufacturer’s BMW Group Classic historic vehicle division. It was indeed the Aussie ace’s first race victory of any kind since March 2006, when he won the first leg of the World Superbike round held on home ground at Phillip Island, aboard the Alstare Corona Suzuki GSX-R1000 he’d been crowned champion on the year before!
