The ‘India Sustainability Leadership Summit’ and the 10th Edition of ‘Sustainability 4.0 Awards 2019 saw industry stakeholders, including those from the auto industry, speak about the need to move up the sustainability curve; to scale up on the ambition to achieve sustenance. Held at Mumbai in June 2019, the summit, conducted jointly by Frost & Sullivan and TERI, had the industry leaders deliberate on the need to go beyond the existing set of sustainable business practices to safeguard the future. With a theme, ‘Now is the time’, the summit saw leaders discuss about embracing solutions that would transform future choices. Delving upon key topics like the country’s potential to develop business models that de-couple economic growth and human well-being from the ever-increasing consumption of natural resources and the resulting impact, the summit saw Sarwant Singh, Managing Partner, Frost & Sullivan, express that the Indian CV industry was at an exciting juncture with a lot left to do in terms of building a sustainable ecosystem.
