We love this time of year as we get to introduce the newest additions to our long-term test fleet. Coming off its recent win of our 2021 SUV of the Year test, we're excited to spend the next 12 months living with GMC's all-new Yukon AT4.
Aside from the exterior color, we ordered our long-term Yukon AT4 exactly as the one we had tested. GMC packs the AT4 with loads of standard features, which include the likes of magnetic ride control, hill descent control, a full complement of skid plates, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and all-terrain tires. The interior features a nine-speaker Bose audio system, tri-zone automatic HVAC system, leather seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, and LED lighting throughout
Our Yukon AT4 also came fitted with the AT4 Premium Plus Package, which carried a hefty $8,145 price tag (after the $1,000 AT4 Premium Plus Package discount). However, it comes with a load of impressive features.
These include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, power assist steps, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, adaptive air ride suspension, enhanced cooling radiator, ProGrade trailering tech, head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a pair of 12.6-inch rear-seat entertainment screens. Also on the options list is the $645 Cayenne Red Tintcoat paint, $370 heated second-row bucket seats, and $350 power sliding center console.
GMC offers the Yukon AT4 with just one drivetrain option. All Yukon AT4 vehicles are four-wheel drive with the company's 5.3L V-8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 5.3L V-8 engine produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque and the door sill sticker indicates that our tester is capable of towing up to 8,200 pounds. The EPA rates the Yukon AT4 at 16 mpg city, 20 highway, and 18 combined.

The '74 full convertible Blazer is my dream vehicle. She's been a long build and now I am thinking of focusing my energy on my wife's '19 Jeep JL. I recently joined a Jeep club and have been going off-road with a few guys. I'm shopping around for lift kits. Would you suggest that my time be spent and focused on the Blazer or enjoy the Jeep?
