Craig Cherry’s Galaxie is a perfect example of a muscle car time capsule.
CRAIG CHERRY 1964 FORD GALAXIE

I know I sure could see me cruising this beauty down the local boulevard on a Friday or Saturday night. Craig could do, his first ride in the car he knew it was a solid, nice driving car; no rattles, no squeaks, ran great, and drove straight. He was quick to snatch it up for his collection. The car features factory power steering and factory power brakes, 390 cu. in. engine, four-speed manual trans, and 9” rear end. The only changes Craig made to the car were adding the classic American five-spoke mags and Hankook tires.

A visit to HOT ROD RANCH

It was one of those buildings you drive by and wonder, “what’s in there?” For years I drove by Craig Cherry’s garage wondering what was in there, and this year I finally got the chance to see this amazing collection up close and personal at the Hot Rod Ranch.

My family lived in North Long Beach, CA, so you just KNOW I had a great first half of a childhood right in the middle of Custom Car Land. My first car show was in 1951 at the Pan Pacific Auditorium with my Dad. Larry Watson’s first shop was 3 1/2 blocks from our house.
