LS2 Sixty - Two
Growing up, Joel’s entry into the lowrider game began with a '79 Monte Carlo. As years passed, he wanted to get into something classic, something with a bit more soul, so he was determined to get a '61 Impala—but also knew he would settle on just about anything in the ’60s so long as it was a ragtop.
As most stories go, he started scouring the ’net to find his next project and stumbled across a '61 convertible that was so rusted even he wouldn’t go for it. Soon after, he spotted a '62 Impala rag but the only dilemma was the car was located some 17 hours away. Needless to say, it looked good, the deal was right, and he was able to convince his brother, Edgar, to take the trip with him to Minnesota to pick it up.
