Capcom’s hack ‘n’ slash hero returns on top form, and armed to the teeth
And we thought Nero was supposed to be the hero of Devil May Cry 5. Silly us: the Devil Breaker, Nero’s new interchangeable and customisable robotic arm, is clearly the breakaway star. ‘Breakaway’ being very much the operative word here – at the press of a button, the Devil Breaker can come away from its wielder to deal a one-time burst of damage to any demons idiotic enough to stand in its path. It’s a mechanic that makes dramatic changes to the way that Devil May Cry’s combat works and leaves the most lasting impression of anything in our demo. And all without uttering a single one-liner.
