The Kardashians love it, Jennifer Aniston is always there, so it’s little wonder I’ve always associated Los Cabos with tequila, guacamole and a chance to run into sun-loving celebs. Who knew it had so much more to offer?!

My holiday kicks offat luxury resort Solaz (marriott.com.au), which opened just last year. Seamless service, outdoor showers and plunge pools in the rooms, plus an incredible lobby view of the Sea of Cortez, ensure my stay is a private slice of paradise.

I make the most of it by heading down to the infinity pool and sipping a classic Frosé cocktail as I overlook the ocean and enjoy the first of many ceviche dishes. And the adventure is just beginning…
