After a hectic few months of engagements in which they have attended film premieres and award ceremonies, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off to enjoy a half-term family holiday last week.
Prince William and wife Kate, both 39, were spotted with their children George, eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, at Heathrow’s private Windsor Suite – but they were keeping their destination secret to ensure some private downtime. And royals expert Jennie Bond said the couple may have chosen a European destination like Greece rather than somewhere further afield, given that it’s a short break.
“Their last foreign trip was in September when they went to France for James Middleton’s wedding,” Jennie told OK!.
“We know they love the Caribbean, they love Africa and the Seychelles, but they may not have gone that far for a short trip, with the kids back at school soon. It was most likely a European destination, like Greece.”
Jennie added that the break would give the Cambridges a much-needed rest as the couple have been “very visible” over the past 18 months.
“They’ll have enjoyed time out of the public eye and time as a family,” she explained. “They’ve worked very hard in the past few months and throughout the pandemic, so they actually really deserved a break.
“Having lived through the years of Diana being tailed wherever she went, being photographed, it’s also great that their privacy was respected.”
