There’s no denying Rylan Clark-Neal has undergone an impressive transformation since his time on The X Factor in 2012. He once revealed that he felt like the “most hated man in Britain” during his time on the talent show, but has gone on to carve out a career as one of the nation’s best-loved presenters, starring on This Morning, Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two and the recently revived Supermarket Sweep.
The 31-year-old is now content with his life, but admits he worked too much in the early days of his career, fearing he could lose his success in an instant. “I used to worry about losing my fame and that’s why I got to a point where I was working every hour of the day,” he says.
Despite his high profile, Rylan prefers to keep his private life out of the spotlight. And with his five-year wedding anniversary with husband Dan Neal looming, he insists the pair will shun a glitzy bash in favour of a night in front of the TV. “It might just be a night in watching Birds Of A Feather!” he jokes.
Here, Rylan opens up about how he’s stayed grounded and the best piece of advice a celebrity ever gave to him...
