On Sunday night, Adele answered all her fans’ prayers when she sat down with Oprah Winfrey to give her first televised chat about her split from ex-husband Simon Konecki.
The star, who’s mum to nine-year-old Angelo, has been celebrating the huge success of her first hit single and album in five years, and went into detail with Oprah about not only her split, but her life in LA and all of her career successes to date, especially her new album, 30.
She even discussed how she’ll always open every concert with her hit single Hello. She explained, “The song to me was the beginning of me trying to find myself, when I wrote it, it was a real ode to little me, older me, all of these things. It was a song about, ‘I’m still here.’”
And talking about the chat ahead of it airing, Oprah, 67, couldn’t hide her excitement at the thought of it, turning to the camera and saying, “Nobody is more compelling with the truth than Adele.”
