This year has seen some stellar TV that’s attracted the highest ever viewing figures – and not just because we’ve all been clocking up time on the sofa during lockdown – so each category is going to be hard-fought.
The award for New Drama will be hotly contested, because there have been so many standout shows. Contenders include breakout star Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You, emotional drama It’s A Sin and the brilliant Normal People. Factor in real crime belters Des, White House Farm and Quiz and it’s going to be a really tough decision.
