A LITTLE bit of kindness goes a long way – and it’s free.

HOLLYWOOD actress Selena Gomez received a kidney from her best friend last year. The star, who was diagnosed with lupus six years ago, says BFF Francia Raisa saved her life with the kidney transplant, adding that the surgery has made her appreciate the next chapter in life.

“My kidneys were just done,” Gomez revealed in an interview about the procedure, adding that she felt bad to ask Raisa for the kidney, but was beyond grateful when her longtime friend agreed to donate it in order to help her ongoing battle with the autoimmune disease.

“She felt bad about even having me do that because we are just friends, I am not her family or anything,” Raisa said at the time, adding “Well, I am now. She has my blood. She felt bad. We just wanted our families around and it was cool because now I have a big family. I lost my grandparents when I was younger... Her grandparents are my grandparents now and so I have this extension of a family and it’s been really amazing.” It’s a good gesture that will never be forgotten.
