It’s the day Ayanda and Detective Pele have been dreaming of – but will they actually get to say their I dos?

It’s easily one of the more surprising relationships of the past year – good cop Detective Pele (Andile Nebulane) and chronic snitch Ayanda (Samela Tyelbooi). Ayanda has been in relationships and situations that are far from legally sound, and Pele put her baby daddy Gadaffi(Vuyo Dabula) behind bars. So when the pair hooked up and made their relationship official in February last year, Generations fans were somewhat surprised…

DADDY ISSUES

Now, less than a year later, they’re ready to exchange vows and Samela says that “they’re nervous but excited”. But the run-up to the wedding – which was organized in less than a month – will prove to be stressful as both family and sinister elements threaten their big day.

First, there’s the not-so-small matter of her estranged father Mandla (Momelezi Ntshaba) being in town. “Their relationship is strained to say the least,” explains Samela. “He left when she was very young and started a new life away from them. But now he’s here and suddenly wants a relationship with her.” Naturally, the bride-to-be is on edge, questioning her father’s true intentions and battling to work through feelings of resentment and distrust.
