Shock development puts apple in more living rooms

Apple rarely allows its services onto rival platforms, preferring instead to keep most things on its own devices. There are a few notable exceptions – Apple Music on Android and iTunes on Windows, for example – and now, another has been added in an unlikely form: Apple’s rival Samsung.

That’s because the South Korean company announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that all of its 2019 smart TVs (and 2018 models after a firmware update) will provide access to your film and TV show purchases from the iTunes Store. An iTunes app will enable purchases to be streamed from the internet directly to Samsung’s TVs.
