In a world where plain popcorn just isn’t enough, we revamp movie night with tropical adventure, Italian drama and a love affair with peanut butter.

1 Island Breeze: Combine 1/3 cup softened butter, 2 tsp. curry powder and 1 tsp. sugar. Pop it in the microwave to melt the butter. Drizzle over 3½ quarts of popcorn and toss. Sprinkle with toasted coconut, almonds, raisins and salt. Yum! —Peggy Woodward, Food Editor

2 I like to mix up olive oil, Sriracha, maple syrup and a little kosher salt and toss it with popcorn. Sweet, spicy, salty! —James Schend, Food Editor

3 Peanut Butter Lovers’: Add 1 cup each sugar and honey to a saucepan. Stir while it comes to a boil over medium heat, and for 5 minutes while it boils. Off the heat, stir in 1 cup of peanut butter. Toss with 3½ quarts of popcorn. Spread it on waxed paper to cool. Top with M&M’s and pretzels. —Ellie Martin Cliffe, Senior Editor
