ANCYL treasurer general Reggie Nkabinde and Beauty Matela tied the knot in a wedding fit for royalty
IT TOOK just six months to plan the spectacular two-day affair. Champagne, decadent dishes and sumptuous surroundings were what guests were treated to at this wedding.
And those in attendance, including politicians and celebrities, were wowed when the couple of the moment said “I do”.
ANC Youth League treasurer general Reggie Nkabinde beamed as he approached his beautiful bride. A week before he walked down the aisle to marry the love of his life he excitedly professed his undying affection for the woman he’s been dating for nine years.
“The couples that are ‘meant to be’ are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and come out even stronger than they were before,” he said on social media.
“It all began November 2008 . . . we have been tried and tested so many times but till today this relationship remains unshaken. @im_queenn_b I have date with you in September [sic],” he posted on Instagram in the week leading up to their nuptials.
And what a wedding it was for the politician and boss of record label Mabala Noise.
At least 350 guests, including public service and administration minister Faith Muthambi, Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi and businessman Thembinkosi“TK” Nciza witnessed Reggie, aka the Govner, wed his long-time love, businesswoman Beauty Matela.
Guests were served fruit and antipasto skewers and tarts stuffed with seasonal fruit while waiting for the white wedding to start.
The ceremony – held at the exclusive wedding venue Lynton Hall, in Umzinto on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast – was nothing short of a fairytale.
