Sharing The Experience

Just as every pregnancy is different, every baby’s feeding journey is too, says Lisa Bryant.

‘Toby, my first, was a right pain – a fussy snacker, feeding every hour. Otto on the other hand is every three hours on the dot – but takes his time. There is no right or wrong really.’

Lisa, who lives in Hitchin, is sharing her experience and spreading the news of Big Breastfeeding Café on May 15. It’s an initiative started three years ago to support mums and promote breastfeeding. Last year saw 60 pop-up events hosted by mums in homes, cafés and halls. In a survey carried out in December by breast pump maker Medela, the company behind the initiative, 76 percent of women believed that talking with other mums at support groups helped reassure them about breastfeeding.
