Kate Garraway: Caring for Derek
Tuesday, ITV HD, 9 pm
Last year, Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway's emotional and National Television Award-winning documentary, Finding Derek, followed the plight of her very sick husband, Derek Draper, and saw Garraway navigate a huge period of uncertainty.
Psychologist and former political adviser Draper was left battling for his life in intensive care when he became critically ill with coronavirus in March 2020 and spent 13 months in hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma.
HOMECOMING
In April 2021, after 374 days in the hospital, Draper was finally able to go home. Now, in this follow-up film, Caring for Derek, cameras follow mum-of-two Garraway as her husband makes his long-awaited return to the family home in London.
