CHIVALRY

NEW THU, 10PM & 10.30PM, C4

COMEDY DRAMA (BOX SET, ALL 4)

Free Traught gender dynamics within the film industry are at the heart of Steve Coogan and Sarah Solemani's C4 comedy drama Chivalry.

The six-part series kicks off when up-and-coming feminist director Bobby Sohrabi (Him & Her's Sarah) is hired by a megabucks studio to detoxify A Little Death, a controversial film produced by out-of-touch Cameron O'Neill (Alan Partridge star Steve). Although the pair clash from the off, romance surprisingly blossoms.

Here Steve, 56, and Sarah, 39, who wrote the series together, talk to TV Times about teaming up for the star-studded satire...

How did the idea for Chivalry come about?

SARAH Steve and I were doing (2019 comedy] Greed when #MeToo happened [the movement against sexual harassment). We started talking, arguing, making each other furious, and also laughing. Then we thought, what if we put two opposing characters in dialogue?
