The story of 11.12 is incomplete without its inspiration, the 2.55. Gabrielle Chanel herself created it in February 1955, hence the name marks the month and year it was created. It comes with seven pockets, designed by Gabrielle herself to meet her personal needs, such a zipped pocket in the flap to keep her love notes and the little pocket in the middle, perfect for a lipstick. The bag is often easily identified by its rectangular Mademoiselle turnlock and a signature chain of flat metal links.
