The Queen And The Master
Harper's Bazaar Bride
|September 2017
Indulge in captivating creations as BAZAAR BRIDE paints a poetic picture of culture, style, and modern sensibilities.
A cinematic powerhouse, a substantial thinker, and a creative force to reckon with in contemporary times, Kangana Ranaut gets candid on the many facets of her personality. Here, the actor who is a bankable box-office star even for films with so-called ‘women centric’ storylines, breaks down her unique journey, her choice of films, ideas on love, and much more. As she dons outfits and jewellery by couture maverick, Sabyasachi Mukherjee for an exclusive with BAZAAR BRIDE, the power of the two individualistic stars meet each other only to fuse and yet retain their distinct, unrelenting aura.

KANGANA SPEAKS
DESCRIBE YOUR JOURNEY SO FAR. IS THERE A WORD THAT YOU CAN USE TO DESCRIBE IT? It’s been an eventful journey. One word would be ‘extreme’—extreme failures and extreme successes. On one hand, if there was the high of falling in love and being in a seemingly dream relationship, on the other hand there was the low of a doomed relationship. At 30, I already feel I have lived 300 years. DO YOU FEEL CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED UNTIL NOW? OR DO YOU THINK THERE IS MORE TO COME? Yes, definitely! As long as I’m alive, I hope to keep going. I feel I’m a significant personality owing to my varied facets as a speaker, feminist, woman, and the small-town girl who has come offtrack to tell her story. All of these have made me a household name in this country but in terms of my profession and my career, I think my journey has been limited. Somehow, amazing things keep happening around my personality but I want to impress people more with my work.
