In 10 years’ time, Fabio Ide knows exactly where he’ll be. He’ll be sitting on his surfboard, waiting for the next big wave to come. His skin in toasted and leathery from the radical heat of the sun, and the stillness of the water is giving his soul ease. At the distance, his children are all playing on the sand. Behind them is a beautiful resort-hotel, which his family happily operates on their own. His girlfriend, a big fan of growing greens, will be at their pocket garden, where she is picking herbs for that evening’s large (but healthy) feast. Fabio has a few hours more before he needs to swim back to shore. For now, it’s time to relax and just exist—away from cellphones, noise, and social media. It’s just him, and the waves.

As a former supermodel, and a current actor and entrepreneur, this type of lifestyle is the exact opposite of what Fabio Ide is used to. In his late teens, he was already traveling the world, booking brands and campaigns shoots across thirteen different countries. He then became a staple in the Manila party and showbiz scene, when he eventually decided to call the Philippines his new, adoptive home. He quickly added entrepreneur to his resume, when he came a partner with the great minds behind iconic nightspots like 71 Gramercy and The Palace. Fabio would not slow down. There was no time to. He was young, bright, good looking, and ready to take over the world.
