Always leading with an optimistic outlook, Rhea Anicoche-Tan and her brand, Beautéderm, are set to achieve new highs in the world of beauty

In a time when our daily routines now revolve around the house, producing shoots have been quite a challenge to the MEGA team. But luck was on our side when we took our chance to feature CEO and all-around boss, Rhea Anicoche-Tan. “Babe, I’m home in Pampanga now and for safety’s sake, I’d like to stay here. Would you be open to me producing the shoot myself?” she said. Proof that if there’s a will there’s a way, Tan uses this same ingenious attitude for Beautéderm, one of the Philippine’s biggest beauty and skincare companies where she is also chairman.

Tan’s beauty journey started at quite a young age. Calling herself a certified “beauty junkie,” Tan loved trying out products that range from makeup to skincare. Ending up dissatisfied, she started Beautéderm as a hobby on her days off of her day job. “I started Beautéderm with a P3,500 start-up capital. It was an ‘after work hours’ activity that kept me busy at night, well after work. I was employed as a VP for Marketing in a huge appliance company when I started Beautéderm 11 years ago” she shares. Sales of their initial skin set picked up quickly and soon they had hundreds of orders all around the country. It was then that she decided that from just a hobby, Beautéderm became her life’s work.
