Tiffany & Co’s Jean Schlumberger-designed Bird on a Rock has been extra chirpy lately, joining top celebrities at the glitziest red carpet-events on both sides of the Atlantic. Jay-Z wore one at the 2023 Grammys, just as he did at the 2022 Oscars. The music mogul is reportedly such a big fan of this iconic brooch that he commissioned a pair of unique Bird on a Rock cuff links to wear in the About Love video campaign for Tiffany & Co.
Wearing the pieces with inimitable style, he’s inadvertently started a cult following for Bird on a Rock brooches among some of the most fashionable men in show business—who can’t get enough of the adorable bejewelled birds. Evidently so, as Michael B Jordan accessorised with not one but two Bird on a Rock brooches at the Creed III premiere in London, as well as the 95th Academy Awards.
Other male celebrities who have worn this high jewellery piece include rapper A$AP Ferg and American footballer Odell Beckham Jr, who had notably worn his on a bright yellow Louis Vuitton sports jacket to the 2022 Super Bowl. Considering how it was originally destined for the collars and sashes of high society ladies, Bird on a Rock has come a long way indeed.
