IN MEMORIAM: Gunga Donn

So let me write a few words in memory of my friend and fellow Woolly Worm, Gunga Donn. I first met him under rather odd circumstances a few years prior to the establishment of the Woolly Worms. I had been invited to join a party of five others for a weekend at a venue near Dullstroom. We travelled down one Friday afternoon in two cars, the six of us. I was the new boy so to speak, and although I knew most of the party individually, I had never fished with that specific group as a collective before. It was one of the kernels of what would later become our fishing and fly-tying group, the Woolly Worms, of whom I have written much in these columns.
